Location. Is. Everything!
Wake up and eat breakfast on the Patio with a view of the Pulaski lighthouse or curl up with a fire.
The house is right on the Salmon River 'Estuary Hole' (guests have EXCLUSIVE access to fish from the bank in front of the property - anyone else needs a boat!), just a few minutes drive from Snowmobile trails in Winter (with enough Snow you can Ride directly to S52C) and a 5 minute walk from the beach in the Summer.
It's a perfect getaway year round!
Our delightful riverfront estuary cottage is a step back in time to the 1960's but with wifi, smart tv and all the modern amenities.
On one side you have direct and private river access that you can fish from the bank, and there is beach access just a 5 minute walk around the point with breathtaking lake views.
The cabin is a cute little building with a cozy living room, interior patio, small dining room and 3 little bedrooms, plus a reading nook. There is a separate Laundry Room and Kitchen. Outside there is a good sized yard and two patios, one with a gas grill. You can even drink your morning coffee with a view of the marina and lighthouse.
The main bathroom is downstairs the other side of the kitchen, there is a half bath at the top of the stairs.
You'll need a car or bike to get around.
You can reach Joe by phone almost any time for any issues. If you have any special requests, let us now ahead of time and we will do our best to make them happen!
Right on the 'Estuary Hole' for those Salmon fisherman, Pine grove is a wonderful little community. Mere steps from the Beach and on the river, you have numerous trails nearby including Snowmobile trails just minutes way.
You really don't have to go far to access everything the area has to offer. Only 3 miles from the village of Pulaski with all the usual Amenities, you have a plethora of fishing spots, launch spots and hikes at your fingertips.
You will need a vehicle!
No cleats or waders inside the house, hanging rails are provided in the mudroom.

Summary: Our stay at the cabin in Port Ontario was absolutely peach and wonderful. Nestled right on the Salmon River, the location couldn’t have been more perfect—peaceful, serene, and surrounded by nature’s beauty. The sound of the river flowing just outside was incredibly calming, and we loved being able to unwind in such a quiet, private setting.The cabin itself was cozy, clean, and well-equipped with everything we needed. Whether we were sipping coffee on the porch, fishing just steps from the door, or simply soaking in the stillness, every moment felt like a much-needed escape from the busyness of daily life.It’s clear that a lot of care goes into maintaining the property and making guests feel welcome. We left feeling refreshed, grateful, and already looking forward to our next visit. Highly recommend this gem for anyone looking for a relaxing riverside retreat.

Summary: I’m so thankful for Joe’s place! I brought my teenagers with me and they loved it too, fantastic location, a slice of heaven - so peaceful and being on the salmon river and steps away from the beach of Lake Ontario was a true blessing. Bring your own fishing equipment, you won’t catch much from the dock during this time - maybe a tiny brown trout or bass, gotta get out on the boat, didn’t catch anything at most access points. Got NY fishing license easily at woodys tackle shop, between Ace Hardware and Tops grocery store you can get all you need for your stay. Kitchen had everything needed to cook meals, whether on the stove, microwave, or getting charcoal for the grill. Fireplace hadn't been cleaned out in a long time but I got that all cleaned up for the next guests. They provide a 5-gallon water system which was helpful. I was unable to sleep on the queen bed with the beautiful front view as it was extremely hard on my spine but the other beds were perfectly soft. Place was clean, great shower but is in the first floor, not on floor with bedrooms. Bring beach towels, they only have regular bath towels and any games/puzzles you want to play, there is poker set with cards.

Summary: We had an amazing time staying at Joe's cottage. It was very clean, quiet and the perfect spot for our family. My son didnt want to leave! He caught some good size fish right off the dock! We definitely want to come back!

Summary: The place was just as described and loved the location that you could walk to the beach area - the weather was not ideal but we still had fun. The upstairs was rather warm but the downstairs was perfect temp. My only suggestion is to mark the designated parking spot - we really weren't sure where to park and not a lot of room to back up and turn around but otherwise everything was perfect.
